The Wire’s Dominic West and Idris Elba reteam for Finding Dory
Two of the stars of HBO’s acclaimed police series The Wire will reteam for something all together lighter, when they both voice roles in Pixar’s Finding Dory.
Dominic West, who played unstable detective Jimmy McNulty, will join Idris Elba, who portrayed charismatic drug lord Stringer Bell, for the sequel to 2003’s animated hit Finding Nemo.
Speaking to Shortlist, West said that he keeps in contact with several cast members from the show. "I saw Idris recently," he told the magazine. "We’re both in the sequel to Finding Nemo, so we were recording that. I’m in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from The Wire – a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly."
Also announced for Finding Dory’s voice cast are Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy and Modern Family’s Ty Burrell, alongside returning stars Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks. The film is due to come to UK cinemas on July 29th 2016.
