The Wolf Of Wall Street's Margot Robbie set to star in US remake of Ghost In The Shell
Margot Robbie, star of The Wolf Of Wall Street, is in talks to take the lead role in a Hollywood remake of manga comic book Ghost In The Shell.
The remake, which is to be directed by Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders with a script from Bill Wheeler, is set to star Robbie, according to Deadline.com.
Ghost In The Shell, which was written and illustrated by author Masamune Shirow, tells the story of a member of a covert operations unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission, a team that specializes in fighting cyber-crime.
The comic has previously been adapted by director Mamoru Oshii in 1995 for an anime film, which spawned a sequel in 2004 named Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence.
Robbie is currently filming a big-budget adaptation of Tarzan, where she will play Jane Porter. Alexander Skarsgård, Christoph Waltz, and Samuel L. Jackson will also star in the new adaptation.
