Movies about the making of other movies are becoming more and more commonplace in Hollywood, but they tend to be about good ones, not a film that’s described by many as one of the worst ever made.

The movie has been directed by James Franco, who also stars along with his brother Dave Franco, Seth Rogen, Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron, Hannibal Buress, Melanie Griffith, Sharon Stone, and Jacki Weaver.

The film tells the story of the making of The Room, the 2003 drama which was a critical and box office flop of epic proportions, but has since gone on to gain a cult fanbase and draw large crowds for screenings across the world.

Based on the memoirs of the film's co-star Greg Sestero, it follows the meeting and early friendship of Sestero and Tommy Wiseau, the mysterious writer, star and director of The Room.

The film has a large group of big-name stars in small roles, including Bryan Cranston, Kristen Bell, Adam Scott, Zach Braff and Kate Upton.
