Maze Runner: The Death Cure

20th Century Fox

The hugely successful YA action series finishes up with the release of the final part of the trilogy.

The film stars Dylan O'Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito and Patricia Clarkson, with Wes Ball once again returning to the director's chair.

In this movie, which follows The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, we find Dylan O'Brien's Thomas tasked with leading his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet.

To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.

Alexander Payne, best known for his beloved offbeat comedy Sideways, takes offbeat comedy to a whole new level in this new effort.

The movie is set in a future where Norwegian scientists discover how to shrink humans to 5 inches tall and propose a 200-year global transition from big to small as a solution to overpopulation.

Damon's Paul Safranek and his wife Audrey (Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in Omaha in order to get small and move to a new downsized community, especially after they're informed how much further money goes in a miniaturized world.

Payne writes and directs, with Hong Chau, James Van Der Beek, Rolf Lassgård, Neil Patrick Harris and Laura Dern co-starring.
