Fast & Furious 8, Gifted, Churchill and The Crown are among this week's new releases on DVD.

The all-conquering franchise returns for an eighth instalment and this time the family is at war.

Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell all return to star while Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren all join the cast.

The new movie, which is titled The Fate Of The Furious in other nations, has been directed by F. Gary Gray, the man responsible for Straight Outta Compton, he works from a script from Chris Morgan, who has written the last six films for the franchise.

At the start of this film it’s all looking rosy with the team now exonerated and enjoying their freedom, but when a mysterious new terrorist named Cipher (Theron) arrives and seduces Dominic Toretto back into a life of a crime and betraying his friends, everything is thrown up in the air.

Brian Cox takes charge of this lavish new biopic of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

Starring alongside Cox are Miranda Richardson, John Slattery, James Purefoy, Julian Wadham, Richard Durden and Ella Purnell.

The movie has been directed by Jonathan Teplitzky, director of Burnin' Square and The Railway Man. Historian Alex von Tunzelmann has provided the screenplay.

Churchill is set in June 1944 at the point in World War II when Allied Forces were stood on the brink: a million soldiers are secretly assembled on the south coast of Britain, poised to invade Nazi-occupied Europe. Only one man was holding them up, Churchill himself.

Claire Foy and Matt Smith star in this lavish re-telling of the first days of Queen Elizabeth II as England's Monarch. 

Starring alongside Foy and Smith are John Lithgow, Jared Harris and Ben Miles, with Peter Morgan on writing duties and Stephen Frears directing.

Ewan McGregor is on double duty as he plays two starring roles in the third outing of Fargo. 

Starring alongside the Trainspotting man are Carrie Coon, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Thewlis and Jim Gaffigan.

In the new season, which is set in 2010, we find McGregor as both Emmit and Ray Stussy, warring brothers in that particularly cold corner of Minnesota.

The older brother Emmit is a successful businessman, known locally as “the Parking Lot King of Minnesota”, while his younger brother Ray is balding, pot-bellied and struggling to scrape by in his job as a parole officer.

Deeply unhappy with his life, Ray decides to do something about the hand he's been dealt and he blames Emmit for his misfortune…
