Alan Taylor, director of Thor: The Dark World and Terminator: Genisys, will take charge of David Chase's new prequel to The Sopranos

The prequel, which will be released as a feature film, is to be titled The Many Saints Of Newark.

The film will take place in the 1960s, when riots swept through Newark, New Jersey and conflicts between African-American and Italian residents were at their worst.
