Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy: What You Need To Know
Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy, the fifth film is Disney’s series based on the classic character from Peter Pan, is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Monday (June 23rd), here’s what you need to know about the family flick.
What’s the plot?
We’re back in the magical land of Pixie Hollow and it’s all kicking off. A misunderstood dust-keeper fairy named Zarina has arrived and she’s stolen Pixie Hollow's all-important Blue Pixie Dust, and flown away to join forces with the pirates of Skull Rock.
Tinker Bell and her fairy are down faced with the daunting task of retrieving the dust and tracking down Zarina, before racing home to save Pixie Hollow. Can they do it? You know what you’ll have to do to find out (no, not looking it up online…)
Who’s in it?
This time out, Avengers’ star Tom Hiddleston, Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World star Mae Whitman and Kill Bill’s Lucy Liu are among the cast who lend their voices to the show. Hiddleston voices James, the cabin boy, while Hendricks lends her vocals to Zarina, the dust-keeper fairy, with Whitman voicing the titular character.
Does it deliver?
Given this is the fifth film in the series and there’s another one planned for next sure, it’s pretty fair to say that the audience is pretty well established by now. This is another sure-fire hit for families and kids, but not a crossover flick.
Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Monday (June 23rd) in hmv stores across the UK.
