Title and directorial details confirmed for new Transformers film

Full details of the new Transformers movie have been confirmed.

The film, which is to be titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, will serve as a direct sequel to 2018's spin-off Bumblebee.

Anthony Ramos, currently on screen in In The Heights, and Dominique Fishback, star of The Hate U Give and Judas And The Black Messiah, will head up the new film.

Steven Caple Jr, who took charge of Creed 2, will direct, with Michael Bay among the producers.

The logline for the film, which is set in 1994, reads as follows: "Returning to the action and spectacle that first captured moviegoers around the world 14 years ago with the original Transformers, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons."

The film has a fast turnaround and is scheduled to be released on June 24th in 2022.
