The official title for the Avatar sequel will be Avatar: The Way of Water, which is due to premiere its trailer this week in cinemas along with the arrival of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Set a little over a decade after the events of the first film, a statement describes the sequel’s synopsis as following the journey of Jake Sully and his family, “the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure." Avatar 2 will see the return Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver alongside a cast that also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jermaine Clement, Kate Winslet and Zoe Saladana.
The trailer is due to debut in cinemas on Thursday May 5.
