Title unveiled for third instalment of Magic Mike, Thandiwe Newton confirmed to join cast
A third instalment of hit drama Magic Mike has been confirmed.
First released in 2012, Magic Mike starred Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, and Matthew McConaughey.
It followed Tatum's Mike, a successful male stripper who takes a new recruit, Adam, under his wing and tries to help him navigate the business, all the while trying to sort own life out.
A sequel, Magic Mike XXL, was released in 2015 and a stage musical has been running in London since the middle of 2018.
Now, Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original movie, but did not return for the sequel, is confirmed to make a return for a third movie, which is to be titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance.
Tatum is confirmed to star once again and he will work alongside Thandiwe Newton, who will take a key role in the new movie. Reid Carolin will once again provide the script.
There's no word on when shooting will begin or when the film will be released in the UK as yet.
