Tom Cruise looks set to reunite with director Doug Liman on new action thriller Mena.
Mena is based on the life of Barry Seal, a pilot, gun runner and drug trafficker who transported contraband for the CIA and the Medellin cartel back in the 1980s.
The film's title refers to the town of Mena, Arkansas, where a lot of the illegal activity took place, under the noses of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton.
The movie's script comes from Gary Spinelli and was bought by Universal Pictures earlier this year for over $1 million dollars.
Cruise and Liman worked together last year on blockbuster Edge Of Tomorrow.
