Tom Cruise thriller Mena gets new title and release date
Mena, a new thriller starring Tom Cruise, has been given a brand new title and release date.
The movie is based on the life of Barry Seal, a pilot, gun runner and drug trafficker who transported contraband for the CIA and the Medellin cartel back in the 1980s.
It had originally been named in reference to the town of Mena, Arkansas, where a lot of the illegal activity took place, under the noses of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, but it's now been re-titled American Made.
According to Deadline, the movie, which sees Cruise reunite with Edge Of Tomorrow director Doug Liman, has also been delayed from its original release date of January 6th in 2017 to September 29th next year.
Starring alongside Cruise in American Made are Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright, Jesse Plemons, E. Roger Mitchell and Jayma Mayes.
