Tom Hanks is in big trouble in the first trailer for World War II thriller Greyhound

A first trailer for Greyhound, the new military thriller starring Tom Hanks, has been unveiled. Click below to watch it:

Hanks leads the way here as captain Ernest Krause, a long-serving Navy officer who is in his first command of a U.S. destroyer.

During his first command, he must steer his destroyer, USS KEELING, and lead an international convoy of 37 Allied ships across the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

Starring alongside Hanks are Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan and Elisabeth Shue, with Get Low director Aaron Schneider behind the camera.

Hanks has written the screenplay, which is adapted from the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester.

Greyhound will be released into UK cinemas on May 8th this year.
