Vice, A Star Is Born and The Favourite lead the nominations for the 2019 Golden Globes

Vice, A Star Is Born and The Favourite lead the nominations for the 2019 Golden Globes. 

The Dick Cheney biopic, which stars Christian Bale, has the most nominations with six in all. These include a Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy nod for Bale, Best Motion Picture and supporting nods for both Sam Rockwell and Amy Adams. 

A Star Is Born has five, with acting nods for both Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga as well as a Best Motion Picture (Drama) nomination. The Favourite also has five, including a leading actress (Musical or Comedy) for Olivia Colman and supporting nominations for both Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. 

Other movies well represented are Barry Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk, Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman and Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali's team-up Green Book. 

The awards will take place on January 6th with comedian Andy Samberg and Killing Eve star Sandra Oh hosting.
