Warner Bros. & DC move release date for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
After it emerged that Disney & Marvel’s Captain America 3 and Batman v Superman were both set for the same 2016 release date, we’d begun to wonder if this was a deliberate move and the studios were aggressively going head-to-head with the two titles. However, it seems that this game of chicken is over and done with now that Warners have announced that their film will now be released on March 25, while Captain America will keep its original May 6 release date.
The studio also mooted some release dates for other DC films due before 2020, but without releasing the titles for each. One of them is presumed to be the long-awaited Wonder Woman film.
Meanwhile, plot details of the film also leaked this week, with speculation that we could be looking at a much older caped crusader than we’re used to, with Batman expected to be in his fifties for the new movie.
