A creepy second trailer for the second series of True Detective has been revealed, scroll down and click to watch it.
The series screens next month, beginning on June 21st in the US and a day later in the UK. The preview is a short one, only a minute long, but this trailer does reveal more about the characters and their stories in the second season than the first preview.
The second season of the show stars Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, Vince Vaughn and Kelly Reilly. Farrell plays Ray Velcaro, who he describes as a man “who has been damaged by years of trauma in both his personal and professional lives.
Kitsch, McAdams and Farrell will play three police officers tasked with investigating a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder, while Vaughan will play Frank Seymon, a career criminal. McAdams has been cast as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff with uncompromising ethics, Kitsch is Paul Woodrugh, a war veteran and motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol, running from a difficult past, while Reilly will play Jordan, Frank Semyon’s wife, a former D-list actress who is a full partner in his enterprises and ambitions.
In addition to the five regulars, True Detective will feature a slew of recurring actors for the second season, including Michael Irby, Abigail Spencer, Leven Rambin, Riley Smith, Lolita Davidovich, James Frain, Adria Arjona, Chrsitian Campbell, Michael Hyatt and Yara Martinez will appear.
Fast And Furious director Justin Lin has directed the eight-episode season's first two episodes.
The new show debuted earlier this year to great acclaim and starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as two detectives who are charged with solving a series of ritualistic murders in Louisiana.
The second season will be set in California.
