Watch the dark new trailer for The Girl On The Train

A brand new trailer for The Girl On The Train, the much-anticipated adaptation of Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel, has been unveiled, click below to watch it. 

The movie stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, and Édgar Ramírez and moves the setting from London to Westchester, New York. 

It tells the story of Blunt's Rachel, a lonely divorcee who is struggling with alcoholism and the break-up of her marriage to Tom, who has now re-married and has a baby with new wife Anna. Each morning Rachel takes the train to work and is forced to go past the house Tom and Anna now live in. 

As she attempts to not focus on her pain, she starts watching a couple a few houses down, but one as the train passes, she sees something shocking which fills her with rage. The next day, she wakes up with a hangover, various wounds and bruises, and no memory of the night before, but she knows something terrible has happened. 

The adaptation has been directed by The Help's Tate Taylor and has a script from Chloe and Secretary writer Erin Cressida Wilson. 

The new trailer is the second to be unveiled and is much darker than the previous one, with more of the movie's twists and turns showcased. 

It will be released into UK cinemas on October 7th this year.
