Watch the first trailer for A Christmas Gift From Bob, sequel to A Street Cat Named Bob

A Christmas Gift From Bob will be released into UK cinemas on November 6th.

A first trailer for A Christmas Gift From Bob, the sequel to A Street Cat Named Bob, has debuted online. Click below to watch it:

The film follows up the 2016 hit, which starred Luke Treadaway and was adapted from James Bowen's bestselling memoir of the same name.

Bowen, a homeless man recovering from heroin addiction, was at his lowest ebb, a stray cat wandered into his life and, as Bowen tells it, saved him from certain death with companionship and by giving him a reason to live.

The sequel sees Treadaway return to play Bowen once again, with Tim Plester and Ella Jarvis among the supporting cast.

The new film, which is taken from Bowen's follow-up A Gift From Bob, will focus on the last Christmas the pair spent on the streets, trying to get through the festive period, as animal welfare works try to separate them.

Bob, who played himself in the original movie, returned to play himself once again in the sequel. He sadly died earlier this year after shooting wrapped.

Charles Martin Smith is directing the sequel, which has been written by Garry Jenkins.
