The first trailer for Inferno, the third instalment based on the Dan Brown novel series that began with The Da Vinci Code, has been unveiled, click below to watch it.
The movie stars Tom Hanks, who reprises his role as Professor Robert Langdon, who in this instalment awakens in an Italian hospital with amnesia. Once out, he teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s Inferno.
Brooks is played by Felicity Jones, while Ben Foster stars as Bertrand Zobrist, a transhumanist scientist, intent on solving the world's overpopulation problem. Also starring in the movie are Life of Pi actor Irrfan Khan, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Jurassic World star Omar Sy and Borgen's Sidse Babett Knudsen, who plays Dr Elizabeth Sinskey, head of the World Health Organisation.
Inferno is directed by Ron Howard, who also directed both previous instalments, it has a script from David Koepp, best known for writing Spider-Man and War Of The Worlds.
The movie will hit UK cinemas on October 14th this year, with the US release following two weeks later on October 28th.
