Wes Anderson confirms cast for new movie The French Dispatch
Wes Anderson has revealed the key cast for his new movie The French Dispatch.
Returning to work with the director once again are Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton, while Benicio Del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Mathieu Amalric, Lyna Khoudri and Stephen Park are all newcomers.
According to the film's official press release, it takes place “in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city and brings to life a collection of stories published in The French Dispatch magazine.”
The film will be released in 2020.
Anderson has previously said of the film to French publication Charente Libre: "The story is not easy to explain. [It’s about an] American journalist based in France [who] creates his magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It’s not a movie about freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters you also talk about what’s going on in the real world.”
Anderson's last movie Isle Of Dogs was released in 2017.
