Wesley Snipes reveal he's met with Marvel over Blade 4
Wesley Snipes has revealed that he has held discussions with Marvel about playing Blade once again.
The actor played Blade in three movies between 1998 and 2004 which were made by New Line Cinema, but the rights have now reverted back to Marcel and Snipes has now revealed he has discussed bringing the character back with the comic book giant.
He told Deadline when asked if a return of Blade was on the cards: "The project is controlled by Marvel, and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting, and we discussed a number of things. I don't know where it's on their schedule at this point - that hasn't been decided. I guess it's still up in the air."
Then asked if the character could end up joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he said: "That's a possibility, too. I've always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations, and it'd be nice to be a part of the family again. But if we don't do a Blade 4 or something else with Marvel, we'll do something else."
Blade is a human whose mother was bitten by a vampire while she was in labour, making him a human with vampire genes. Once old enough, he swears vengeance on those who killed his mother and operates as a vampire hunter.
