A first trailer for Scoob!, the new reboot of cartoon classic Scooby-Doo, has debuted online. Click below to watch it:
Scooby-Doo began life as a cartoon series for Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1969. It followed four teenagers, Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Norville "Shaggy" Rogers—and their talking dog named Scooby-Doo as they teamed up to solve mysteries.
The film will tell the story of how Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc.
Now, with 100s of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world...
Zac Efron, Gina Rodriguez, Will Forte, and Amanda Seyfried voice the Scooby gang, with Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs as other classic animated characters.
Fred Welker, the original voice of Scooby-Doo, is back to voice the dog once again.
Tony Cervone, a veteran director in the world of animation, takes charge, working from a script from Edge Of Seventeen writer Kelly Fremon Craig.
Scoob! will be released into UK cinemas on May 15th in 2020.
