Zac Efron and Robert De Niro set to team up for road trip comedy Dirty Grandpa
Zac Efron and Robert De Niro are set to team up to star in a new road trip comedy named Dirty Grandpa.
The new comedy will be directed by Dan Mazer, who is best known for his work with Sacha Baron Cohen, with whom he co-wrote and produced both Borat and Bruno. He most recently directed British comedy I Give It A Year.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Efron will play a young man who gets tricked into driving his grandfather (De Niro), a perverted former Army general who is convinced his grandson is about to marry the wrong woman, to Florida for spring break.
Efron is currently filming EDM drama We Are Your Friends, which is being directed by Max Joseph, who you might know from his role as co-host on MTV's reality series Catfish. He stars alongside Emily Ratajkowski, the actress who gained worldwide attention for her turn in Robin Thicke's controversial video for 'Blurred Lines'.
De Niro will next be seen on screen in boxing drama Hands Of Stone.
