"There was so much more story to tell with these characters..." - hmv.com talks Ant-Man & The Wasp with Michael Douglas & Peyton Reed

With action-packed sequel Ant-Man and The Wasp making its debut in stores next week, we talk to Michael Douglas and director Peyton Reed...

Three years after Ant-Man finally made his debut on the big screen, the MCU's smallest superhero is set to make his arrival in stores for the second time... and this time he's brought a friend.

Ant-Man and The Wasp arrives in stores on Monday (December 3rd) and sees Paul Rudd joined by Evangeline Lilly in the role of his winged sidekick The Wasp. Having stepped in following the departure of Edgar Wright on the original Ant-Man movie, Peyton Reed has this time been in the director's chair from the get-go and returns to call the shots on the sequel.

The story begins back in 1987 when Janet van Dyne - the original Wasp - is trapped in the 'quantum realm' after miniaturising herself in order to get inside and disable a Soviet nuclear missile. Unable to escape, Janet has remeained trapped there ever since and it's up to her husband Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and their daughter Hope (Lilly) to resuce her, but in the meantime Hope will have to take up the mantle as Ant-Man's flying partner.

With the seqeul arriving in stores next week we caught up with Michael Douglas and director Peyton Reed to talk us through what we can expect from Ant-Man and The Wasp
